Latest Ozarks Drought Update

Heavy rainfall over the last month has significantly improved drought conditions across the listening area, however, large sections of Arkansas are still under the effects of a D4 drought, the highest category on the US Drought Monitor.

As of current, the most severe category of drought in Missouri is D3, limited to sections of the southeastern sections of Missouri, such as Oregon and Ripley Counties. South of the state border, D3 is the one of th emost common conditions, spreading across most of the Arkansas listening area. In southern sections of Baxter and spreading south and east across the entirety of Stone and Izard County likes the D4 exceptional drought.
