West Plains, MO. – As a way to perform outreach into the community, Master’s Ranch Christian Academy, a boys ranch for troubled teens, will be having their student band perform live at the GoFARM Farmer’s Market the next couple weekends.
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy, located in Myrtle, Missouri, started their student band program as a way to give attending youths another avenue of healing and structure.
“Our goal at the ranch is to show these boys that their past does not define their future,” said Christopher Foster, Student Care Coordinator at Masters Ranch. “When they stand up in front of the community and play these old-time hymns, it’s about more than just music. It’s a physical demonstration of the dedication, structure, and positive change they are working toward every single day.”
Performances by the band will include old-time hyms, and performances will take place tomorrow, May 23rd and Saturday, May 30th. The performances will begin at 9:30, and can be found in the parking lot of the Endurance Church in West Plains, where the GoFARM Farmer’s Market also takes place.
