A Douglas County traffic stop led to the arrest of a Bruner Missouri man on multiple charges after a trooper reported finding methamphetamine concealed on him during jail intake, according to a probable cause statement filed June 4.
Cpl. D. Johnson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote that he stopped a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox around 7:15 p.m. on June 3 for not displaying registration. The right‑front passenger, Robert David Teague, was not wearing a seat belt. A records check showed Teague had an active Christian County warrant for failing to appear on a 2025 DWI charge. “The warrant was confirmed active and extraditable,” the statement reads.
Teague was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. At the sally port, the trooper advised him to disclose any contraband before entering the jail. According to the report, Teague admitted he had hidden a small baggie in his crotch. Once inside the dress‑out area, “a small baggie containing a crystalline substance fell to the floor,” the trooper wrote. A deputy field‑tested the substance, which reportedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
Teague was issued citations for failing to wear a safety belt and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He also faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $2500.
