Funeral Services for Bonnie Sue Benton, Age 90 of Salem, Arkansas will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 2026 at The Salem Church of Christ, Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 12-Noon. Visitation will be held an hour prior, beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in The Salem Cemetery, Salem, Arkansas.

BONNIE SUE BENTON

Bonnie Sue Benton, 90, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Salem, Arkansas. She was born on April 13, 1936, in Camp, Arkansas, to Jack Holloway and Lillie (Manes) Holloway.

On November 5, 1955, Bonnie married the love of her life, N.J. Benton. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community.

Bonnie spent many years working as a receptionist and secretary for the Salem Family Clinic, where her friendly smile and caring nature touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers. She took great pride in helping others and was known for her kindness and welcoming spirit.

Family was the heart of Bonnie’s life. For more than thirty years, she faithfully organized and hosted family reunions, beginning with a Friday night cookout and continuing with the reunion gathering on Saturday. These cherished events brought generations of family together and created countless treasured memories.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family, playing dominoes, and serving her church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was actively involved in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She found joy in serving others and sharing her love of Christ with those around her.

She is survived by her son, Steve Benton (Pam) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her brother, C.R. Holloway of Camp, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kyle Benton of New York, New York, and Makenzi Benton of Bentonville, Arkansas; as well as many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, N.J. Benton, and her parents, Jack and Lillie Holloway.

Bonnie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her faithful service to her church, and the warmth and kindness she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the family traditions she created and the many lives she touched.
