Piney River Brewing Company has earned two bronze medals at the 2026 US Open Beer Championship. The brewery was recognized for its Black Walnut Wheat in the nut beer category, and for Andy’s Root Beer in the kids’ root beer division.
This marks seven US Open medals for Black Walnut Wheat since 2015, and the third medal for Andy’s Root Beer. Piney River now holds 27 US Open medals in ten years. The brewery will celebrate with a “We Win, You Win” event August 7th through 9th at the taproom in Bucyrus, offering discounts and live music.
