Woman charged with forgery in vehicle case

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. — A woman was arrested after authorities allege she attempted to retrieve a vehicle using forged paperwork.

Yellonda Adams was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of forgery. A $5,000 cash-only bond was set in the case.

According to the sheriff’s office, the alleged incident occurred June 10, when Adams attempted to retrieve a vehicle using paperwork authorities say was forged.

The case was investigated by Douglas County Detective N. Long.

All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
