Sharon Joan Scoggins was born January 4, 1964, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Charles and Shirley (Pohlpeter) Black. She departed this life on August 7, 2026, in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 62.
Sharon was united in marriage to the love of her life, Tim Scoggins, on December 29, 1990, in Fort Madison, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Shirley Black; brother, John Black; and sister, Sarah Hines.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Scoggins; brother-in-law, Ron Hines, Jr.; nieces, Jennifer Mehmert, Debbie McDowell, Staci McDowell, and Melody (Ethan) Balvanz; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sharon loved all animals, especially her dogs she lovingly referred to as her “boys”. She made her lifelong career as a registered pharmacy technician at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was an avid Scooby Doo fan and enjoyed collecting all things Scooby Doo.
