The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for the position of reserve/auxiliary deputy sheriff. These are volunteer positions. Reserve deputies assist full time deputies in all areas of law enforcement responsibilities in a volunteer community service capacity.
Minimum state qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must be free of felony convictions in any state, territory, or jurisdiction
- Must successfully pass a background investigation
- Must successfully pass a physical examination
- Must successfully pass a psychological evaluation
- Must possess a valid Arkansas driver license
- Must successfully complete the mandatory training prescribed by the State of Arkansas
Uniforms and training will be provided. The applicant would be responsible for providing his or her own handgun, duty belt, and most other ancillary equipment.
