The Cardinals shut out the Phillies 2-0 last night. Mason Winn put St. Louis on the board with an RBI single in the seventh, in the top of the 8th Ryne Stanek came on in relief of Caleb Ferguson who walked the bases loaded and Stanek got a double play and flyout to get out of the jam. Then, new Cardinal Everson Pereira (Pay-Ray-Uh) provided some insurance (cut) his first home run since joining the team. Pereira also made a spectacular leaping catch in center.
