Salem, MO. – On March 9th, 2015, Rosalee Byrd, a Salem, Missouri resident, was found deceased in her home. Investigation at the time pointed to homicide by the way of blunt force trauma. This week the Salem Police Department has announced that they have made a break in the case.
This break was made possible due to joint operation between the Salem PD and the FBI. The PD go on to thank the staff with the City of Salem and the entire community for their support during the investigation and search.

Positive progress, including a suspect, has been confirmed. The announcement concluded with a statement to the suspect: “Now is the time to come forward and speak with our investigators about your involvement in this case.”
