The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at 12:15 p.m. on US 63 at Morton Road, about three miles north of Houston. Investigators say a northbound 2015 Chevrolet Equinox attempted a left turn and moved into the path of a northbound 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, resulting in the impact.
The Equinox was driven by a 78‑year‑old woman from Bucyrus, who was wearing a safety device and was able to drive her vehicle from the scene. The Pacifica, driven by a 22‑year‑old West Plains woman, sustained moderate damage and was removed at the owner’s request.
Two passengers in the Pacifica—a 34‑year‑old woman and a 42‑year‑old woman, both from West Plains—suffered minor injuries. Texas County Memorial Ambulance transported both to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment.
