Two people were injured early Friday afternoon in a two‑vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 63 and Missouri ZZ in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the collision occurred at 12:57 p.m. when a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Sonic failed to yield, and a southbound 2016 Kia Cadenza struck the Sonic in the driver’s‑side door.

The driver of the Kia, a 27‑year‑old West Plains woman who was not wearing a safety device, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare. A 37‑year‑old male occupant in the Sonic, also from West Plains, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ozarks Healthcare as well.
