High temperatures and dry conditions continue across the Ozarks region, leading to many counties enacting burn bans. As it stands, almost every county in Arkansas is under a ban, and Oregon County in Missouri has been added to the list.
Observe active bans in your counties, and make sure to check official sources if you’re unsure if a ban is in place.
During this period, make sure to stay cautious for anything that could start a fire. This includes anything that could be fuel, such as dry grass or underbrush, as well as actions such as parking a hot car over said grass, or dragging chains along the roadway while driving.
While under the effect of these conditions, fires could spread rapidly and quickly stressing a communities ability to respond to it.
