The Royals lost 5-4 loss to Arizona in extra innings. Noah Cameron gave Kansas City six scoreless innings, but the game went to the 10th tied at zero. Arizona’s Lars Nootbaar put the Diamondbacks ahead with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly, and then they added four more runs with two outs. The Royals responded. Salvador Perez hit a bases-clearing double with no outs, but the tying run was stranded at third as the Royals came up short.
