The game started off with Houston gaining possession of the ball first. Houston returns to the opposite 46 yard line to get good field position. Houston gained a first down after an offsides flag, then immediately got a good 6 yard gain on 1st down. But 2nd down was unfortunately no gain on the play. They gained another first down on the quarterback keeper. Encroachment was flagged again on Catholic gaining another 5 yards and a first down. Tucker vinn goes 27 yards for a touchdown run to go up first in the game for the tigers. The extra point was good making it 7-0 with the tigers on top. Catholic return the ball on the 30 yard line to start their first drive of the game. They gained a single yard on a run to go 2nd and 9. Big 2nd down run going for 10 yards making a first down. Another 1 yard run makes it 2nd and 9 again. The ball fumbled after a 19 yard catch but catholic got on top of it, gaining a first down.
