Mountain Grove, MO. – A Mountain Grove man is facing a 1st Degree Stalking Charge after an incident that took place on September 7th.
The Wright County Sheriff states that this began with a Deputy and an officer from the Mountain Grove PD showing up at a residence on the north side of Mountain Grove to a report of a man threatening to kill others.

The target victim of the stalking identified the suspect as 50-year-old Edward Morey of Mountain Grove, who had left before law enforcement arrived, but was found at a nearby residence.
After an investigation, Morey was placed under arrest, which led to Morey making threats towards the arresting deputy and his family.
He is being held without bond in the Wright County Jail.
