Despite the rain we recently received Thursday night into Friday morning, all burn bans are currently still being observed, as the rain was not significant enough for droughts to drastically improve.
Many emergency management services are urging residents to follow the current burn bans that have put into effect, including all of our Arkansas listening area, and most of our Missouri listening area.

On Friday, the city of Ava was the latest community to enact a burn ban.
Remember that while a burn ban is in effect, individuals are asked not to conduct any burning of any kind, including leaves, trash, or campfires. Extreme caution must be followed regarding cigarettes and lighters, and anything that could produce sparks or flame should be monitored.
