Funeral Services for Terry Wayne “Bubba” Norris, Age 68 of Shannon County, Missouri will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026 at The Church of God of Prophecy, Birch Tree, Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Internment will take place in The Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona, Missouri.
Terry Wayne “Bubba” Norris was born June 13, 1958, the son of Wayne and Mary Alice (Smith) Norris. Terry left us peacefully in his sleep on October 22, 2026, at the Shady Oak Nursing Home, to be with the Lord.
Terry was the first of four children born and the apple of his mother’s eye. He grew up in Winona, Missouri, and later moved to Birch Tree, Missouri, where he and Robbin raised their two daughters, April and Angie.
He grew up in the body shop business, and his passion was beyond all others when it came to building his own race cars and putting together the many classic cars, and of course, everything was completed only by him. When racing season was over, his deer hunting began.
Terry made friends everywhere he went and could blow the doors off many competitors racing. Some of his friends called him “Big Block Bubba”.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Norris; grandfather, Jim Norris; and grandmothers, Flossie Smith and Margie Koogler; and several aunts and uncles.
Terry is survived by his daughters, April and Angie Norris of Birch Tree, MO; sister, Cheryle (Bill) Owens of West Plains, MO; brothers, Gary (Carlene) Norris of Winona, MO and Jamie (Melody) Norris of Mountain View, MO; father, Wayne Norris of Birch Tree, MO; grandsons, Elijah and Isaac Plyon and Logan Pugh; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We are not bodies with souls; we are souls with bodies.
