Mountain View Man Charged With Enticement

A Mountain View man has been charged in Texas County with grooming or enticement of a child under 15 by a person age 21 or older and first-degree sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 following an investigation in Summersville.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Texas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to investigate after a child younger than eight years old reportedly told her mother that a man stopped in front of their residence and exposed himself while she was outside.

The child’s mother identified the suspect as Aaron Hollis, whom she recognized from her workplace, according to court documents. The mother also provided a description of the vehicle and clothing the child reported seeing.

Deputies later located Hollis at his residence and observed him wearing a yellow “Wildcats” shirt and black sweatpants, matching the description provided by the child, according to the affidavit.

Court documents state Hollis initially denied being on the child’s street that day before later admitting he had driven there and stopped to speak with a young girl. Investigators said Hollis told them he asked the child whether her parents were home and remained there for several minutes before leaving.

A judge has set Hollis’ bond at $15,000.
