FEATURED PET OF THE DAY-
*Seeking Rescue or Experienced Adopter*
This is Charlotte. She was relinquished to the shelter and The City of Mountain Grove Animal Control is now seeking a rescue or adopter experienced with double merle dogs to take her in.
Charlotte is about 1 year old. She is a mini Aussie mix, approximately 25 lbs. She is fully vetted, including being spayed. Her previous owners say she lived with 3 young kids and did great with them, and she’s playful with cats. She has done fine with the 2 puppies who are currently in the shelter. She was trained to use a puppy pad in the house.
The Shelter believes Charlotte CAN hear, but she does not hear well and struggles to tell which direction noises are coming from. She also seems to not have the best eyesight, but she can see. This has made training difficult; however, she does know how to walk on a leash and is very smart when you can keep her attention!
She is super sweet and deserving of a wonderful home, but will need either a rescue or adopter experienced with the challenges these dogs face.
Because she is fully vetted, we are only requiring a $5 fee to cover the cost of her microchip to an approved adopter.
If you are a rescue or experienced adopter who can give this dog what she needs to thrive, please call Animal Control at 417-926-5181 or email jvieths@mountaingrovemo.gov
