The Willow Springs Arts Council is getting into the holiday spirit with two creative opportunities
for the community to enjoy this November and December.
Local artist Tammy Schulz will lead a festive Paint Night with Tammy on Thursday, November
19, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of the Ferguson Building in downtown
Willow Springs. Participants will be guided step-by-step through the process of creating an
adorable snowman canvas, perfect for displaying throughout the winter season or giving as a
handmade gift. No previous painting experience is necessary, making this a fun evening for
both beginners and experienced painters.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes all painting supplies and light refreshments.
Participants can simply show up ready to paint, relax, and enjoy an evening of creativity!
Registration is available online at https://square.link/u/4ZUhCsTZ.
The Willow Springs Arts Council is also inviting community members to showcase their
creativity in its Annual Wreath Decorating Contest. Participation is free! Anyone interested can
pick up a FREE blank wreath at the Ferguson Building during regular business hours.
Participants are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild, transforming their wreaths into
unique holiday creations using decorations, ribbons, ornaments, or whatever inspires them.
Completed wreaths must be returned to the Ferguson Building by December 1, fully decorated
and ready for judging. Judges will select the top three winning entries. Following the judging,
the decorated wreaths will be offered for sale during the Grinch Fest Christmas Market on
Saturday, December 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Proceeds from wreath sales will benefit
the Willow Springs Arts Council, helping support its continued efforts to bring arts
programming, creative opportunities, and cultural experiences to the community.
Whether picking up a paintbrush or decorating a wreath, the Arts Council hopes residents will
take advantage of these opportunities to celebrate the season while supporting the arts in
Willow Springs. For more information about the Willow Springs Arts Council and its upcoming
