Mountain Home, AR. – Current Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery announced his retirement this past week, and during a public address on Thursday, announced who he would endorse as his replacement.
The endorsed candidate is Brian Davis, who has been working with the Sheriff’s office for 14 years and is currently serving as a patrol lieutenant.

During the address, Sheriff Montgomery stated quote “I have never made a political endorsement before, but the next Sheriff’s election is extremely important. I promise you, I do not take this endorsement lightly.”
