Marion County, AR – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is alerting the public to a fraudulent fundraising effort currently circulating in the community. Sheriff Gregg L. Alexander has issued a public warning regarding a company operating under the name UAC4U, which has been contacting residents and businesses seeking donations for what it claims is a sponsorship opportunity involving a magnet featuring the MCSO.
Sheriff Alexander stated clearly that this company is not authorized to represent the Sheriff’s Office in any way.
“We are under no contract with this organization, and we have not approved any advertising or fundraising on our behalf,” Alexander said. “Please do not donate your hard-earned money if you are contacted by this company.”
Upon learning of the situation, the Sheriff contacted UAC4U directly and instructed them to cease all representations involving the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Residents are urged to remain cautious and to always verify the legitimacy of any organization claiming to raise funds for local law enforcement. Anyone with concerns or who has been contacted by UAC4U is encouraged to report it to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
