Online court records in Douglas County show the warrant was issued April 14 after the court found probable cause to believe Souder had violated the terms of his probation. The warrant was served April 22 at 11:23 a.m. A probation violation hearing was initially scheduled for April 27. During that hearing, Souder appeared from custody, and the state indicated it would request prison time. The court appointed the public defender, remanded Souder to custody and set a probation violation hearing for May 26. A probation violation report was later filed May 11.

The case stems from a 2025 Douglas County felony case in which Souder pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to first-degree property damage. He was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with execution of the sentence suspended, and was placed on five years of supervised probation.

Court documents show Souder was originally indicted by a Douglas County grand jury in June 2025 on charges of second-degree domestic assault and first-degree property damage. The indictment alleged the incident occurred June 18, 2025, in Douglas County. The domestic assault count was later dismissed as part of the January plea, according to the docket. The property damage count alleged Souder damaged a vehicle windshield by punching it, causing it to shatter, with damages exceeding $750.

The case has included multiple warrant entries since the original indictment, according to the docket. The April warrant is tied to the pending probation violation matter, rather than a new criminal charge in Douglas County.

Souder remains scheduled for a probation violation hearing May 26 in Douglas County Circuit Court.

All charges and alleged violations are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
