1 Vehicle Crash Injures West Plains Teen Driver

Caulfield, MO. – A 16-year-old female driver from the City of West Plains was injured yesterday, April 5th, when she crashed at 6 pm.

The location of the crash was Highway 142, roughly 3 miles South of Caulfield. The investigator on this evening’s crash was Trooper L.C. Pruiett of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.

The previously mentioned 16-year-old juvenile driver from West Plains was driving a 2013 Chevy Silverado. The report states that the driver attempted to avoid an animal, which caused them to leave the right side of the roadway, and overcorrect their return, causing a collision off the left side with a rock, a tree, and a fence.

The driver was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment of the moderate injuries sustained in the crash.
