West Plains, MO. – On Monday, March 25th, Tony Aid, long-time West Plains figure and owner of Aid Downtown Antiques, announced that he will be closing his historic store after 139 years.

“Closing the Store after 139 years. On behalf of Kathleen, myself, and our staff; Leslie Wilbanks and Corinne Wallen, we are announcing the closing of Downtown Antiques. A business managed by the Aid Family has been in this location since 1885 when C.T.Aid, my great-grandfather, started his hardware and tin shop on the square. To clear out our merchandise we will begin a sale on APRIL 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th, which is the weekend before and the day of the solar eclipse.
