Willow Springs, Mo. – The 2022 Willow Invitational Chess Tournament will be held this Saturday, November 19 at the Willow Springs High School Bears Den on west 4th Street. The tournament will have four divisions for High School, Junior High, Elementary, and Adults. Participants should be accompanied by either a school coach, sponsor, or an adult chaperon.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with registration and the first round at 9:30. There will be six rounds throughout the day, with the final round ending at 4:10 p.m. and the awards presented.
Individual awards will be given for 1st – 10th places in each division and team awards for 1st to 3rd places will also be given. Note: participants do not have to be on a school team to compete.
To speed up registration, send the names of contestants and their grade level to chess@serega.com by the end of Wednesday, Nov. 17. There is a $10 registration fee per participant to be paid on the day of the tournament.
