West Plains, MO – The University of Missouri Extension in Howell County is offering the 2nd Annual Howell County Equine Conference on November 15th at 5pm at the Howell County Extension Center, 1376 Bill Virdon Blvd. in West Plains.
Dr. Katlin Hornig of Gainesville Veterinary Hospital will discuss her perspectives on colic, vaccines, and parasite management. Field Specialist in Livestock Elizabeth Picking will give an introduction to the benefits of rotational grazing for horses and how to get started. Field Specialist in Agronomy Dr. Sarah Kenyon will discuss forage species suitable for horses and weed identification and management.
Dinner will be provided, sponsored by Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply. The cost of this workshop is $10/person.
