Licking, MO. – An offender serving time in the South Central Correctional Center for murder and other crimes died Tuesday night.
Offender Michael Hudson, age 46 of St. Louis City, was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. on August 22, 2023, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Hudson was serving multiple life sentences for first-degree murder, 11 counts of armed criminal action, seven counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree attempted robbery, and first-degree assault. He was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on May 29, 2008.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of the inmate’s death.
This marks the third death of an inmate within the last month at the facility. Inmate Bronson Vestal, age 33, died on August 11, 2023, and inmate Logan Ross, age 24, died on July 29, 2023.
