West Plains, Mo. – A man from Alabama was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Friday near Houston. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Highway 63, six miles north of Houston at 11:30 a.m. on December 30, 2022.
A southbound 2016 Honda Odyssey driven by Robert Newton, age 72 of Moody, Al., traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail before sliding down an embankment. Newton had been wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital by Texas County Ambulance.
