A man is facing charges after police say he assaulted another man during an incident on Southern Hills Drive. According to a probable cause statement, officers responded to the 1400 block on June 13 for a report of an assault in progress and identified Aaron Bruce Williams with a listed address of Glenco Alabama as the suspect.
The victim told officers Williams chased him, threatened him, pushed him onto a pile of rocks, and struck him with a closed fist. A witness reported seeing Williams pursue the victim into a grassy area and hearing him yell a threatening statement. Officers documented a laceration on the victim’s back consistent with his account.
Williams declined to give a statement, telling officers he wanted to speak with an attorney. He is charged with third‑degree assault, and his bond is set at $10,000 cash or corporate surety.
