Alton, MO. – A man born in 1954 has been arrested and is looking at felony charges after he escalated a verbal altercation with both assault and a shotgun.
Information pulled from the probable cause affidavit reveals that after responding to a disturbance in Oregon County, Deputy Martin found that a man named Cubb Pankey had been threatening a victim with a shotgun, as well as physically assaulting the victim during a disagreement.
Pankey admitted to officers, while in a state of intoxication, that he had planned to use the shotgun to shoot the victim, as well as enact other actions of violence, and continued to repeat himself while in custody.
Felonies include Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action.
