Thayer, MO. – An AR man has been arrested after calling to report he had been assaulted.
On Wednesday, June 22nd, the Thayer Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a call where the caller had reported being assaulted.

Upon arrival of the Valero gas station on 63, the caller, who was identified as Jason Jones, 42 of Strawberry, AR, reported that he had been assaulted on the Arkansas side of the border, but Jones stated he didn’t wish to press charges.
Further investigation revealed that Jones was wanted in the state of Arkansas for absconding parole.
Jones was then arrested without issue and is now awaiting extradition to the state of Arkansas.
