Ava, MO. – An Ava, Mo., man has been sentenced in federal court after images of his repeated sexual assaults of two child victims were discovered by workers while they were demolishing his former residence.
Harold Lloyd Blair, Jr., 67, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark on Thursday, June 20, to 58 years in federal prison without parole. This is for 2 counts of child sexual exploitation.
On December 1, 2022, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force after several printed images depicting child sexual abuse material were found in Blair’s residence. During Blair’s interview, he admitted to his involvement in manufacturing CSAM and sexually assaulting at least two identified victims. Upon further inspection by investigators, they found a computer belonging to Blair that had approximately 4,700 CSAM files of the identified victims.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie Wan. It was investigated by the Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations-Springfield, and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
