UPDATE: Baxter County Looking for Individual Who Fled In Stolen Vehicle

UPDATE: The stolen vehicle has been found, abandoned, in Fulton County between Gepp and Viola. The suspect remains at large.

Baxter County, MO. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has put out a press release asking for assistance looking for someone who fled from arrest using a stolen vehicle. It reads as follows:

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a theft suspect who fled on foot from officers and then stole a vehicle Monday afternoon.

Investigators served a search warrant at 5647 Hwy 5 South at 3:16 PM Monday looking for stolen property.  Investigators arrested one man, but he fled on foot.  An Investigator gave chase, but fell and was injured.  A canine team from the North Central Unit of the ADC at Calico Rock tracked the suspect to a residence on Old Tracy Road, where it was discovered he had stolen a vehicle from that residence.

The wanted person is:

NAME:   J D Comstock
DOB:  02-10-1985   (37 years old)
HEIGHT:  5-9
Last Seen wearing jeans and no shirt

STOLEN VEHICLE:  Blue Honda SUV, Arkansas License:  SWRCA

      Comstock has ties to Fulton County and Izard County.  He will face multiple charges in Baxter County when apprehended.
