Baxter County Sergeant Narrowly Avoids Danger With Fallen Tree

Mountain Home, AR. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement on July 17th, detailing a dangerous event that happened to a Sergeant on the evening of Friday, July 14th.

According to the statement, Sergeant Jamie Binnion was the subject of this dangerous event during the storm that rolled through the area at the time.

Binnion was responding to a tree down and blocking Promise Land Road in rural Baxter County after the severe thunderstorm downed it. While attempting to turn around on Promise Land Road, a large tree fell across the back of the truck and severely damaged the vehicle.

The extended seating area of the truck was almost completely caved in, leaving the front drivers area mostly unharmed. It is not stated if Sergeant Binnion sustained any injuries, only that serious injuries were not inflicted during the event.
