Alton, MO. – Aaron Shafer, a 15-year veteran in the Alton Volunteer Fire Department, recently passed away suddenly, and citizens and the emergency responder community have rallied to make a benefit for the bereaved family.
This information comes to us from Tasha Miller, the Resiliency Coordinator for Oregon County Ambulance District.
This benefit will be held on June 3rd and will be held in the Alton School Multi-Purpose Building.
Food will be provided by Bootleggers BBQ, and will be served at 5pm. Live entertainment will also happen at this event, put on by Marty and Patti Elmore of The Elmores Gospel Music group.
An auction will then happen at 6pm, with proceeds going to the immediate family of Aaron Shafer, to help recover from the loss of their provider.
