Birch Tree Man Drowns on Current River

Eminence, MO. – An individual from Birch Tree has drowned as of July 28th during a kayaking trip on the Current River.

This report comes to us from Master Sergeant B.D. Foster of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The victim in this event was 48-year-old Jason Bollinger of Birch Tree, who was pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner RD Bell at 4:21 pm.

According to the report, Bollinger was riding in a 10ft kayak while traveling downstream at Martin Hole. He then fell off and into the water, and failed to resurface.
