Summersville, MO. – We’ve covered two different festivals happening this weekend, but there’s still yet more to be talked about. Today, we’ve got a suggestion if you love all things pumpkin: the Summersville Chamber of Commerce’s Pumpkin Fest.
Taking place this Saturday, this annual celebration of fall will begin at 10am. The Shannon County festival will contain various food vendors and entertainment, but also sports the “All Things Pumpkin Bake-off” event, giving local bakers a chance to show off their skills in implementing the gourd into various recipes.
In addition to the bake-off, a hotdog eating contest will also be taking place to raise funds for the Summersville Senior Center.
Lastly, as an extra way to promote the festival, we’ll be broadcasting on-location through The Fox 96.9 to talk about the businesses that made this event possible, and the things that will be going on that day. Tune in this Saturday from 10am to 12pm.
