West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man with a prior criminal history was arrested last week on accusations of sexually assaulting a minor.
Adam Rodriguez, age 40, was arrested by the Howell County Sheriff’s Office on September 27, 2023, on a grand jury indictment for three counts of statutory sodomy or attempt, all felonies.
According to the probable cause statement, a 15-year-old minor female told interviewers with the Child Advocacy Center in May of 2023 that she was sexually assaulted two or three times between the ages of 11 and 12 by her stepfather, Adam Rodriguez. The victim said each occasion would happen while her mother was at work.
WPPD attempted to contact Rodriguez for an interview in August but the suspect indicated that he would voluntarily meet for an interview with his attorney However, the police received no further contact and requested a warrant be issued.
Rodriguez was held in the Howell County Jail and released on September 28, 2023, on a $150,000 bond.
According to online court documents, Adam Rodriguez pleaded guilty to Stealing-$25,000 or more in July 2020 and was to serve 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
