West Plains, Mo. – A house fire Friday night near West Plains claimed the lives of two people. The fire occurred in the 1500 block of State Highway BB around 9 p.m. Friday night.
Firefighters from the West Plains Fire Department, Howell Rural Fire Department, Pomona Fire Department, Caulfield Fire Department, Willow Springs Fire Department, Peace Valley Fire Department, and Thayer Fire Department responded to the blaze.

According to family members, the home was the residence of Marvin and Linda Polzin whose lives were claimed in the fire. There were four other family members who were living in the home who managed to escape. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with final expenses, here.
