Summersville, Mo. – A teen was killed in a one-vehicle crash near Summersville Friday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on Highway K, five miles north of Summersville at 11:30 a.m.
A southbound 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 16-year-old female traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturning and ejecting the driver, who had not been wearing a safety device. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene by the Texas County Coroner at 1 p.m.
This makes the 33rd death for MSHP Troop G in 2021 compared to 35 at the same time last year.
