Doniphan, MO. – An ATV crash on private property ended with serious injuries for the driver.
This happened roughly 10 miles West of Doniphan at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and involved the use of a 1982 Honda 3-wheeler. Virgil Patterson, 47, was riding the vehicle when he ran off the left side of the roadway; the vehicle then overturned.

Patterson was not wearing a safety device and sustained serious injuries. He was transported by Survival Flight air ambulance to St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. for treatment.
The investigator of this crash was Sergeant B.L. Riefle, with the assistance of Trooper C.E. Leach, and Trooper J.D. Conover, all of Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
