Ava, MO – Douglas County Sheriff assisted the Ava Police Department in their pursuit of a wanted man. The incident occurred on Sept. 13, 2021 at roughly 8 p.m.
Ava Police had initiated a foot pursuit after Paul Enos, Jr. in the area of Heath & Sons Feed. Enos was wanted on a Felony warrant for: Possession of a Controlled Substance-methamphetamine, a Class D Felony, and Misdemeanor Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia. Corporal James Nelson of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was off-duty in his personal vehicle in Ava when he happened to witness Ava Police Department pursuing Mr. Enos. Corporal Nelson left his personal vehicle in order to assist Ava Police Department in their apprehension of Enos.
Paul Enos, Jr was taken into custody without incident on his warrant and is currently in the Douglas County Jail where he is facing additional formal charges for Felony resisting arrest by fleeing.
