Ava, MO. – A K9 unit with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office recently received a helpful upgrade in their equipment with the donation of a suit of body armor.
The recipient was K9 York, who was given this bullet and stab protective piece of equipment as a part of a donation by Vested Interest in K9s. This non-profit was established in 2009 and specializes in delivering custom-fitted body armor like the one given to K9 York, as well as other assistance to K9 officers.
