Ava, MO. – On Wednesday, March 6th, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department asked the public for assistance in identifying a male suspect related to an incident that occurred the day before.
According to the recent announcement, on March 5th at roughly 5pm, an unidentified female reported to law enforcement that she was accosted at the Ava Cemetery. The victim stated that she was approached by a man who asked for money. After she told him to get a job, the man grabbed her. She was then able to break free and get to her vehicle before leaving the scene.
The man is described as being a white male around 5’10, roughly 30 years old, with long reddish brown hair, a goatee, and a light brown jacket.
Law enforcement was unable to find the suspect.
