Woman Seriously Injured in One-Vehicle Douglas County Accident

Rome, MO. – A one-vehicle overturn accident has ended with the driver being seriously injured.

The report on this accident from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol states that this accident took place yesterday, March 6th, at 11:40am on AJ Highway near Rome, MO.

Amber Smith-Fiedler, a 44-year-old Ava, MO. woman was driving a Chevy Tahoe when she ran off the roadway. After leaving the road, the vehicle struck a culvert, became airborne, and overturned. The vehicle was totaled in the crash.

Smith-Fiedler was not wearing her safety device in the accident, and her injuries were categorized as serious. She was taken by ground ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

Investigation on this crash was performed by Trooper C.A. Edens.
