An Ellsinore man was seriously injured in a crash that occurred Thursday evening in Carter County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Ozark Radio News the crash took place at approximately 5:00 PM on March 6, 2025, along Noble Street in Ellsinore.
The incident involved a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by a 49-year-old male from Ellsinore, Missouri. Investigators reported that the vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the roadway and struck a building, a mailbox, and a parked car before colliding with a tree, where it ultimately came to rest.

The driver, who was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted by Air Evac to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
