A Mountain View man died Saturday night in a single‑vehicle crash on County Road 2900, about a mile and a half south of Mountain View, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers reported the crash at 9:28 p.m. and said the 41‑year‑old driver was traveling east when he failed to negotiate a curve. The 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and overturned. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:09 p.m. by Dr. William Bone.

The victim was taken to Yarber Funeral Home in Mountain View. Next of kin have been notified.
The Patrol noted this is Troop G’s 10th traffic fatality of 2026, compared to 11 at this time last year.
