Squires Man Arrested After Narcotics Search Warrant; Meth and Multiple Firearms Seized

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Squires man late Friday during the execution of a narcotics search warrant in the Squires area.

Sheriff Chris Degase said deputies served the warrant during the late hours of May 22 at the residence of 55‑year‑old Michael Burton. During the search, deputies seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia used to divide meth for distribution, and multiple firearms. One of the firearms, investigators noted, was mounted on a tripod in the living room and pointed directly at the front door.
